Parallel networks – EQUATOR announcing LATITUDES

The EQUATOR Network kindly announced the launch of our website.

Founded in 2006, the EQUATOR (Enhancing the QUAlity and Transparency Of health Research) Network is an international initiative that seeks to improve the reliability and value of published health research literature by promoting transparent and accurate reporting and wider use of robust reporting guidelines. The EQUATOR website provides further details about the goals of the Network and hosts an extensive library of reporting guidelines and toolkits as well as information on courses and training.

The complementary names is indeed no co-incidence, and reflects the joint aims to improve the quality of healthcare research with:

• The EQUATOR Network focussing on transparent and accurate reporting and reporting guidelines,
• The LATITUDES Network focussing on the robustness of evidence synthesis and risk of bias/validity assessment.

The LATITUDES Network is grateful for the support of the EQUATOR Network and is looking forward to a fruitful cooperation.
